How We Work
Who We Serve
Our clients are as diverse as our communities. We serve individuals, families in one household, and multi-generational families. Our clients are young and just starting their careers, middle-aged and in the prime of their earnings ability, retired and active, or in the later stages of life, with some in care homes.
Our clients are business owners: small owner-only, mid-sized, and large organizations. We act as personal advisor to the owner, their working family members, and often their employees through our retirement plan services offerings at the business.
We serve clients both locally and throughout the country. We hold meetings over the phone, video conferencing, or in person at our main office in Greentree, PA or at one of our many satellite offices (see below).
Our Process
We like to keep our process simple and flowing. We start by asking questions and listening to the answers. We gather and catalogue available financial information, have our prospective clients take a risk tolerance questionnaire to determine an appropriate risk & return profile, and prepare an initial strategy. We then review the results of the questionnaire and potential strategy, and if in agreement we open the accounts and transfer the assets as appropriate.
Once the account(s) have been opened and assets transferred, we execute per our investment strategy and populate the portfolio with the recommendations, in collaboration with the dedicated portfolio management department. It is then time to get the client set up for online access (if desired).
This process can take as little as one week or it can take several weeks, depending on the availability and commitment of the prospective client, and the amount and complexity of the information and strategy.
At this stage we move into our Service Model (below).
Our Service
From a strictly procedural perspective, we prefer to follow a continuous service model, that includes each of the stages indicated in the wheel to the left and checking the “box” in each of the appropriate stages in the cycle. Based on the specific needs of each unique client, including any interested family members, we will develop an action plan and a timeline, where we can prioritize the needs and develop a follow up schedule based upon the work involved.
With regard to monitoring investment portfolios, this takes place each and every day. The portfolio management team, in collaboration with your financial advisor, takes on discretion to monitor and replace investments per the investment policy, rebalance, and tax-harvest as needed, always keeping in mind the best interest of the client.
We are available to communicate at any time. As we work on the action plan, we will communicate as agreed upon. Should there be any need throughout the year (withdrawals, deposits, job & family changes, etc.), we are only a phone call away.
Annually we will have a formal meeting to review the portfolio(s), action plan, and any potential changes that occurred without the need to discuss throughout the year.
Our Office
For the most flexible workspace availability and to conveniently meet our clients where they live and work, we contract with the Regus global network of workspaces.
Our main office is conveniently located in Greentree, just minutes from the Parkway West, with plenty of back roads for those who do not like the Parkway. There is ample parking. Handicap access and plenty of additional visitor parking is located in the rear of the building.
The office is staffed Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm for checks or paperwork drop-off. Meetings by appointment only.
